Rev. Richie Hayes

Rev. Richard L. (Richie) Hayes is an Elder in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is a 1984 graduate of Carson-Newman (B. S. in Business Data Processing) and 1995 Asbury Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity). He is a 2002 member of the Order of the Flame.

Richie and wife, Connie are natives of Jefferson County, Tennessee. They have two adult daughters. Prior to entering the ministry, Rev. Hayes worked in Data Processing at a Bank in Knoxville.

Rev. Hayes has served as a District Statistician, member of a District Strategy Team, Board of Missions and Church Extension, Building & Location, Jubilee Project board, District Missions Coordinator, Conference Clergy Mentor, and is scheduled to begin a term on the Conference Petitions and Resolutions Committee. Rev. Hayes also served as Secretary of the Missionary Emergency Fund Foundation while serving at Reynolds Memorial in Bristol, Virginia for six years.

In May 2014, Richie began a health-conscience lifestyle, losing 160 pounds. He loves to share his story as a Recovery journey. Rev. Hayes enjoys working out at the gym, photography and videography, genealogy, and spending time with family.
